General

At least once a year the SCA offers its members special meetings and presentations to help guide the future of the Association and construction industry as a whole.

Are you concerned with carrying risks in contracts?

Construction contracts and procurement practices inherently carry risks that must be managed. Members have expressed concerns regarding carrying these risks and how to manage them. In Saskatchewan, we’re fortunate that we can get all of the players in the value chain (project owners, lawyers, design professionals, contractors) in the same room to talk about ways to optimize the allocation of these risks. In an era where appropriate allocation of risk can mean the difference between a successful project and a failed project, it is more essential than ever that we dialogue about these issues.

Join us for presentations by Carey Tait, Chief Estimator - PCL Construction Management Inc. and Troy Baril, Partner - Miller Thomson LLP followed by moderated discussion and networking. With the influx of projects anticipated to begin in the coming year, now is the ideal time for education and engagement.
