Do you want your front-line staff to be able to assist your supervisors in keeping your workplace safe?

This session is targeted at organizations who would like to provide their employees with knowledge about the implications of drug and alcohol use in the workplace and provide them with practical skills in identifying impairment in the workplace.

Participants will discuss risk factors for substance abuse and how casual use can progress to substance abuse/addiction.  Participants will then learn more about the physical and mental effects of drug and alcohol and be given tools to identifying suspected drug or alcohol impairment in the workplace and the importance of reporting these suspicions to a supervisor.

This course is offered in partnership with WellPoint health and is complementary to Supervising a Substance Free Jobsite which will be offered later this spring.  Registration will be limited to ensure opportunity for discussion and that deliverables are achieved.
